Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need a teaching license? Not necessarily! Many of our tutors are licensed educators, but we are always looking to work with graduate students, as well as professionals with a strong subject expertise.

How many hours do I need to commit? We’re as flexible as you need. Some tutors work just a couple hours a week, while others have transitioned to making their work on our team their main job.

Is this in-person or virtual? Our teams primarily work with families wanting in-person support, though we do occasionally have virtual opportunities. As a heads up, if you are only available virtually, you probably aren’t the best fit for the needs of our team!

Do I have to find my own clients? Nope! This is one of the major perks of the job. We have a strong referral network of clients that we match you with once you join our team.

How does payment work? Team members are paid for tutoring work monthly via direct deposit. There’s no requirement from you to invoice or chase down customer payments.
